HALAL STANDARD

Unlike most other certifications, Halal certification currently lacks a globally recognized standard among Halal accreditation organizations for mutual acceptance, leading to regional variations and exclusivity in different Muslim markets around the world.

Similar to agricultural and food products (including packaging and food wrapping), each importing market requires different Halal standards. Therefore, businesses need to choose Halal standards that align with their targeted export market to achieve optimal effectiveness.

COMMON HALAL STANDARDS FOR CERTIFICATION AUTHORITY ISSUE STANDARD

The Indonesian market and some other Islamic consumer markets around the world also accept it (however, the six Gulf countries, Malaysia, and some others do not accept it because the brand and coverage of this program are not widespread) HAS 23000 – Requirement for Halal Certification / Requirements for Halal Certification (Food, Food Ingredients).
