What is Halal Cerification?

Halal certification is an independent, objective evaluation conducted by an organization to confirm that specific products/services assessed do not use Haram components (prohibited substances according to Islamic law) and that the production/service provision conditions comply with the requirements of the Qur’an, Shari’ah law, and Halal standards.

Halal products (products that are Halal certified) will be trusted and chosen by Muslim consumers.

What Standards Does Halal Certification Rely On?

The standards used as criteria for evaluating Halal certification for products are the guidelines from MUI – Indonesia, JAKIM – Malaysia, GSO, and other relevant international organizations. The Fatwas referenced during the evaluation process are based on the Fatwas from MUI Indonesia and Malaysia.

Which Products Can Be Registered for Halal Certification? 

Only tangible products that are mass-produced and have clear commercial branding in sectors permitted by local authorities can be registered for Halal certification.
